The area of Sellano is predominantly mountainous, furrowed by the crystal-clear water of the Vigi River.
Covered by green meadows and forests, its territory is inhabited by many animal species including wild boars, foxes, porcupines, wolves, badgers, hares, martens, roe deer and grey herons, with blackbirds, green woodpeckers, peregrine falcons, buzzards and kites flying overhead.
If you pay attention as you walk along the ancient paths, you might also spot eagles and eagle owls. The mountain peaks are often flattened, and in fine weather, the air becomes fragrant with herbs and wild flowers.
